Dear Listers,
Those of you interested in the history of herbal medicines may like to know that the paper, 'Plant Series, No. 7. MS408: Campanula rapunculus', is now freely available to download: https://ling.auf.net/lingbuzz/005069

The paper reveals the Medieval etymology for the terms 'rampion' and 'rapunzel', which are two common names for the plant's rootstock, which was once believed to cure a number of ailments.

Please disseminate to other scholars who may benefit from the information.
Kindest regards,
Dr. Gerard Cheshire.
