Join the Disability History Association for a conversation with Dagmar Herzog, author of The Question of Unworthy Life: Eugenics and Germany’s Twentieth Century, winner of the 2025 Outstanding Book Award of the Disability History Association. Dagmar Herzog is a professor of history at the City University of New York Graduate Center. She writes and teaches on the histories of gender and sexuality, Nazism and the Holocaust, disability activism and care work, psychiatry and psychoanalysis. She is the author of seven books, including “Sex after Fascism,” “Sexuality in Europe,” “Cold War Freud” and “The Question of Unworthy Life.” More details about the book, including praise from the book prize committee, can be found here.
